26 August/365 - The Boy Turned 15
Sophomore this year in school, around 5'6" 137 lbs. He has a killer personality when he lets it shine through, other times he's a grunting crab. Love him both ways!

16 August/365 - Some Favorites From The Weekend
A few of my favorites from this weekend's Jr. American Legion tournament. Our Denville Post 390 team came in first in NJ and 2nd in the Mid-Atlantic Region Tournament. They had a great season 29-6! Let's just say it was a very long season!

Steve & Reggie in the dust cloud.

One of my son's friends.

I loved these drippy pinecones - finally remembered to take a shot of them.

His new thing - practicing to catch balls at the fence.

16 July/365 - cream cheese guacamole dip
After seeing a post on Angelica Grace Designs, I really needed to find a recipe for a dip she blogged about.
I found this one on grouprecipes.com. I processed everything but the tomato in the food processor and added them and extra onions to the top. Served it with Multigrain Tostitos.
The second night, I spread it on a whole wheat tortilla, added lettuce, tomato, onion, jalepenos and grilled chicken.
Cream Cheese Guacamole Dip
8 oz pkg cream cheese (softened)
2 avocados, peeled and mashed
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1 Tbs lemon juice
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp garlic salt
1/4 tsp hot sauce
1 cup diced tomato
Directions
Combine all ingredients, except tomato and mix well
carefully stir in tomato
serve with tortilla chips

30 May/365 - .about to get punched.
for the second time. You can see his face is already squished up from the first punch.
Instead of a regular cross face - the kid he was wrestling wound up and punched him sideways across the nose - trying to make it look like a crossface.
The ref warned the kid - the kid did it again and he was dq'd and thrown out of the tournament.
Guess he was mad that he was losing 10 to 2 to a freshman. He was a junior that placed second in his district. My son is a freshman that placed second in his district.

24 March/365 - Rookie of The Year
He is holding his Varisty Letter - Rookie of the Year Plaque - and another certificate.
He gets measured for his varsity jacket on Tuesday. Not many Freshmen get these.
